We Will Tread Again

Oh how I'll miss the views! It's felt kinda awkward promoting the UK's 1st National Park throughout this pandemic. Seeing and hearing the stories of the fires, huge crowds and littering last year to recently groups travelling from London crashing their vehicle and many cars with young families getting stuck in the snow over night. The parks definitely had alot of news coverage during this saga! But unfortunately not alot of positive news! Alot of us turn to Insta for location advice and are inspired or influenced to come to places like the Peak District. It's very important getting outside for our wellbeing, I get that, it's what brought me to the Peak District and helped me discover my passion and what drives me now in life. But for now I need to stay away. This full lockdown, the 3rd one! just feels like a massive blow and that we are back at square one again. But there is light on the horizon! And hopefully during Spring we start to see some real change back to life as it was. For now things arent great and I'm not comfortable wandering the Peak like I normally do so will be sticking to my immediate surroundings and sharing past adventures of my own and yours over @peopleofthepeakofficial . I hope others set an example as seeing the recent stories of your top tens shows many are inspired by people in the community. Whilst it feels like a drag limiting what we enjoy doing etc do we really want this pandemic to keep dragging on for another year or more? Ultimately we all want this gone. Stay safe, stay local and get planning for when things hopefully start to return to normal. Till we tread again! #peopleofthepeak
