Moon Rise Hope Cement Works

I went back to #hopevalley after reading about the #supermoon I was working late, so I was too late to get the more traditional moon rise shots, but I wanted to line up the moon with the Chimney again and this time without clouds.

It was challenging with steam/vapour coming out of the top making the moon blurry. Also, I challenged myself to get these shots in one exposure instead of having to resort to blending or composites.

In the end, I think I preferred the cloudier night as that added more atmosphere and made it possible to get some detail in the moon from a longish exposure.
