I was eager to get back to back to the #trinnacle a stack of 3 large gritstone pillars tucked away on the edge of the moor. So were a couple of mates @b_priest @ryecollo and so we arranged to meet and hike up together.

This route is up there with the tricker ones in the Peak District and the steep hike up seems steeper every time I go! As we started the weather looked bleak and again almost not worth the trip up with backpacks full of heavy photo gear. But as we got to the top the light started to shine through onto #greenfieldreservoir it looked stunning and unfortunately that was the best light we got before we got to the main location. But as we got there we all got to work shooting asap and without tripods and filters to save time.

The #heather looked incredible this image doesn't do that part justice as it was all behind me and dotted around to the left but I was drawn to this composition.

The light didn't last long and the sunset was uneventful here but it seems like everywhere else got some amazing colour in the sky! You can't get it all and I was happy to just be out there surrounded by beautiful views!

The Trinnacle should be high on your must-see list especially right now but please prepare and research the hike as it's not the usual accessible steady kind of hike we get across the park.
