The fog descended on Sunday across the Peak. Whilst I was tempted to get up at one of the high points to see if I could get above it. I decided to head to #padleygorge and #bolehill for another go in these mystical woods shrouded in mists.
It was great to see @alex_leeder_photography @tagger_photography and @b_priest getting woodland shots they have been after in these conditions. My take on woodland I'll post tomorrow, this post is about Birch and crew!
After I'd wandered around the woods and upto the viewpoint overlooking Bolehill Quarry, I started to head back to the car when the cattle that I sometimes see lower down were coming up into this stunning quarry.
I got excited at the possibilities of pictures with such a stunning backdrop. One stood out to me which is funny because it blended in so well with the silver birch trees 🤣
I ended up spending a good couple of hours with these guys a mixture of just watching their behaviours from afar and taking some pics. Some walkers and families couldn't believe their luck when they saw them and stopped to watch them, big smiles across their faces. It was great to see @itsradders who said his spirit animal is a cow 🐄 and if I come back as a cow in another life well... Forgot a plain green grass field! I want to graze here!
I've had some random stories to tell this year but it doesn't get much more random then a cow dressed as a silver birch tree!
